Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidate must have passed Matriculation (10th) from a recognized board.
  • Matriculation certificate will be treated as final proof for date of birth.

Sports Qualification

  • Participation or medal in National / International competitions between 15-01-2024 to 15-01-2026.
  • Events must be recognized by IOA / IOC / National Sports Federations.
  • For team events, the candidate must be an active playing member.
  • Minimum qualifying sports marks: 12 marks for all categories.

The age eligibility for BSF Constable (General Duty) under Sports Quota is calculated as on 18 August 2025. Candidates must ensure they fall within the prescribed age limits before applying.

Salary / Stipend Details – BSF Constable GD (Sports Quota) 2025

Candidates selected as Constable (General Duty) under Sports Quota in BSF will receive salary and benefits as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) along with applicable Central Government allowances.

Other Allowances Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) or Field/Border Allowance, Transport Allowance and other admissible allowances as per Central Government rules
Pension Scheme Recruited candidates will be covered under the New Pension Scheme (NPS) applicable from 01 January 2004, along with other pension-related rules issued by the Government of India
Additional Benefits All benefits and allowances admissible to Central Government employees from time to time, as per existing service rules and regulations
