The High Court of Himachal Pradesh invites Online Recruitment Applications (ORA) from eligible and desirous candidates for filling up clear-cut/anticipated vacancies of the following posts on the Establishment of HP High Court as per “The Himachal Pradesh High Court Officers and the Members of Staff (Recruitment, Promotion, Conditions of Service, Conduct & Appeal) Rules, 2015” (R&P Rules, 2015). All details are as follow...


1. Stenographer (Group-C) – Regular

Total Posts: 01 (One)
Category: 01 – SC (Clear-cut)
Pay Level: Level 11 (₹38,500 – ₹1,22,700) of the Pay Matrix

Essential Qualification / Eligibility Criteria:

  • Graduation with three (3) years’ experience as Steno-typist or Judgment Writer or Stenographer in any Government office or reputed organization.
  • Speed of 100 WPM in English Stenography with accurate transcription within five times the duration of dictation.
  • Typing speed of 50 WPM in English on computer (separate test shall be conducted).
  • Only 10% mistakes allowed in transcription and typing test. Candidates committing more than 10% mistakes shall be declared unqualified.
  • Recruitment on the basis of competitive examination as per Schedule-IV (Part-H) of R&P Rules, 2015.

2. Clerk / Proof Reader (Group-C) – Regular

Total Posts: 17 (Seventeen)

Category-wise Vacancies:

  • 12 – UR (4 clear-cut & 8 anticipated)
  • 02 – SC (Clear-cut)
  • 01 – ST (Clear-cut)
  • 02 – EWS (Clear-cut)

Pay Level: Level 03 (₹20,200 – ₹64,000) of the Pay Matrix

Essential Qualification / Eligibility Criteria:

  • Graduation from a recognized University.
  • Screening Test, Written Test, Typing Test and Document Verification as per R&P Rules, 2015.
  • Typing speed of 30 WPM in English on computer (separate test after qualifying Screening Test).
  • Recruitment based on competitive examination as per Schedule-IV (Part-K) read with 28th Amendment of R&P Rules, 2015.

3. Driver (Group-C) – Regular

Total Posts: 01 (One)
Category: 01 – UR (Clear-cut)
Pay Level: Level 05 (₹21,300 – ₹67,800) of the Pay Matrix

Essential Qualification / Eligibility Criteria:

  • Matriculation from a recognized Board.
  • Valid Driving Licence to drive Light Motor Vehicles (LMV) or Medium/Heavy Vehicles.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ driving experience.
  • Recruitment based on competitive examination as per Schedule-IV (Part-O) of R&P Rules, 2015.
  • Proficiency (Driving) Test and Document Verification shall be conducted after qualifying the Screening Test.
  • Preference shall be given to candidates having good mechanical knowledge of automobiles.

Examination Fee Details :

The examination fee for the candidates applying online against the advertised vacancies is as follows:

Important Note:

  • The fee shall have to be paid ONLY through ONLINE MODE.
  • The fee once paid shall not be refunded to the candidate in any case.

Age Criteria

The age of the candidates shall be reckoned as on 01.01.2026 as per the following criteria:

Note:

  • *Five years relaxation in upper age limit is admissible only to the bonafide SC, ST, OBC of H.P. and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities of H.P., in case a post is reserved for these categories.
  • Age relaxation for H.P. Government employees is admissible as per orders/directions of the Hon’ble High Court of H.P. and instructions issued by the Government of Himachal Pradesh from time to time.

1. Where can I find the login link?

Go to the High Court Website i.e. hphighcourt.nic.in or visit the recruitment portal link available on the High Court website: https://www.hphcrecruitment.in

2. How to login or create Login ID?

  • Visit the recruitment portal and register yourself if not already registered.
  • Fill in your Name, Mobile Number & Email ID.
  • Your Login ID will be your Email ID.
  • Password will be auto-generated and sent to your registered Mobile Number and Email ID (Inbox/Spam folder).

3. Why am I not receiving OTP on registered Mobile No./Email ID?

  • Try twice. If still not received, wait for five minutes and try again.
  • Check Inbox/Spam folder of your Email.
  • If issue persists, call the helpline number mentioned above.

4. Why is ORA not accepting the Captcha code?

You may have entered an incorrect Captcha code. Click the refresh button to generate a new Captcha and enter it carefully.

5. Why am I not able to login even with correct User ID and Password?

  • Recheck User ID and Password (use the ‘eye’ button).
  • Use the “Forget Password” option to reset.
  • Refresh the browser or use another browser.
  • Try logging in from another device/PC.
  • If issue persists, contact the helpline.

6. Why is Aadhaar Number not being accepted in ORA?

This usually happens if the Aadhaar Number entered is incorrect. Please verify and re-enter correctly.

7. I entered incorrect Date of Birth (DOB). How can I correct it?

The 10th Certificate must be uploaded as DOB proof. You can correct DOB through OTR update in your profile before submission of ORA. However, DOB cannot be changed after final submission.

8. Mobile No. & Email ID Issues

a. Error: “Email/Mobile already exists in database.” How to create login ID?

  • This message appears if your mobile/email is already registered.
  • Use a new mobile/email ID to create a new login.
  • Or use “Forget Password/Forget Email ID” to retrieve old credentials.

b. How to change Email ID/Mobile Number?

You can change Email/Mobile Number before submission of ORA. After submission, changes are not allowed for that post.

9. How to change Name, Father’s Name & DOB?

You can update Aadhaar Number, Name, Father’s Name & DOB by uploading proof through OTR update on login homepage. After final submission of ORA, no changes are allowed.

10. Why are documents not getting uploaded?

Ensure documents are scanned as per required size:

  • Photograph: 20–50 KB (JPG/JPEG/PNG) – White background
  • Signature: 10–20 KB (JPG/JPEG/PNG) – White background
  • Matric Certificate: 100–500 KB (JPG/JPEG/PNG)
  • Other Certificates: 100 KB–2 MB (PDF only)

11. I belong to General category but not seeing it in dropdown. What to select?

  • Select “UR” category.
  • If post is reserved, UR/General candidates cannot apply for that reserved post.

12. How do I enter all my qualification details?

Enter qualifications starting from Matric onwards. Details will appear in qualification list. Add other qualifications similarly.

13. How do I enter all my experience details?

Enter past experience first. Details will appear in grid below. Add other experiences including present experience. Always save after entering details.

14. Can I edit my Profile & Qualifications?

Yes, before submission of ORA. Changes may take about 24 hours to reflect. After submission, no changes are allowed for that post.

15. Where can I review my application?

You can preview/review your application in the “Review” tab before final payment of fee.

16. How can I pay fee and check payment status?

  • Fee must be paid online via UPI/Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking.
  • Click “Pay Now” after reviewing application.
  • Check payment status in Application History on Dashboard.

17. Fee deducted but status shows unpaid. What to do?

  • Check payment status with your bank.
  • Ensure ATM/UPI is enabled for online transactions.
  • To avoid last date issues, pay fee again and settle bank issue later.
  • High Court is not responsible if fee is not received before deadline.

18. How to download Admit Card?

  • Admit card will be generated for Screening/Written/Proficiency Test/DV.
  • Login with your credentials to download.
  • You can also download using registered Mobile Number.
  • Ensure you are shortlisted before downloading.

19. OTR Update not working. What to do?

If one OTR request is pending, you can submit a new request only after closure of the previous request.

20. Where can I get confirmation email for successful ORA submission?

After successful submission, confirmation email will be sent from official Gmail domain to your registered Email ID.

21. Fee debited but payment status still pending. What to do?

Do not make repeated attempts if fee is already debited. Payment status usually updates within 1–2 hours. If issue persists, contact: arrecruitment-hc@hp.gov.in with payment proof.
