Advertisement Details
In supersession of Advertisement No. 11/2025 dated 28.11.2025, fresh applications are invited from citizens of India for selection and appointment to the posts of:
- State Chief Information Commissioner
- State Information Commissioner
This recruitment is being conducted due to the policy decision to shift the office of the Himachal Pradesh State Information Commission from Shimla to Kangra at Dharamshala, under Section 15 (5) & (6) of the Right to Information Act, 2005.

Eligibility & Qualification
The applicant must be a person of eminence in public life with wide knowledge and experience in:
- Law
- Science & Technology
- Social Service
- Management
- Journalism
- Mass Media
- Administration and Governance
The candidate must NOT be:
- Member of Parliament or State Legislature
- Holding any office of profit
- Connected with any political party
- Carrying on any business or profession
