CUET (UG) 2026 Application Details

National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG)] – 2026 in May 2026 for admission into Undergraduate Programmes in Central Universities and Participating Universities across India and abroad.

The examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) Mode for the academic session 2026–27. Important dates are given below:

Candidates may choose up to a maximum of five (05) subjects, including Languages and the General Aptitude Test. The examination fee will be calculated based on the number of subjects selected by the candidate.

The following fee structure is applicable for CUET (UG) – 2026:

OBC (NCL) / EWS	₹ 900/-	₹ 375/- per subject
SC / ST / PwBD / Third Gender	₹ 800/-	₹ 350/- per subject
Centres Outside India	₹ 4500/-	₹ 1800/- per subject

Note: Examination fees once paid shall not be refunded or adjusted under any circumstances.

Medium of Question Paper	13 Indian Languages – Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu
Syllabus – Language Subjects	Reading Comprehension (Factual, Literary and Narrative passages), Literary Aptitude and Vocabulary
Syllabus – Domain Subjects	As per NCERT
Syllabus – General Aptitude Test	Language Subjects: Language to be tested through reading comprehension (based on different types of passages–Factual, Literary, and Narrative), Literary Aptitude and Vocabulary General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning (Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Statistics), Logical and Analytical Reasoning
Choice of Test Papers	Candidates may choose up to a maximum of five (05) subjects, including Languages and General Aptitude Test, irrespective of the subjects studied in Class XII*
Marking Scheme	Correct Answer: +05 marks Incorrect Answer: –01 mark
Mode of Examination	Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode
Total Questions	50 Questions in each test paper (All questions are compulsory)
Duration	60 Minutes for each test paper
Shift	Examination will be conducted in multiple shifts depending on the number of candidates and subject choices
