NOTIFICATION
It is hereby notified that in accordance with the policy framed and notified by the Government of Himachal Pradesh, the Directorate of Education, Himachal Pradesh shall determine the eligibility, suitability and deputation of in-service teachers to Himachal Pradesh Government Schools affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the CBSE Sub-Cadre thereof.
As per the directions of the Director of School Education, Himachal Pradesh, the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBoSE) shall conduct the Screening Test for Deputation to CBSE Sub-Cadre – 2026 against 5,623 posts (for 134 CBSE affiliated schools) from amongst in-service teachers working in the establishment of the Directorate of School Education, Government of Himachal Pradesh.
Eligible candidates must fulfill the requisite educational qualifications and eligibility conditions as prescribed under applicable Recruitment and Promotion (R&P) Rules. The role of HPBoSE shall be confined strictly to conducting
- Screening test,
- Preparation of post-wise merit lists and
- Declaration of results.
All matters relating to eligibility, deputation, posting and service conditions shall vest with the Directorate of School Education, Himachal Pradesh.

Prospectus & Online Application Information
In this connection, the Prospectus-cum-information brochure containing comprehensive instructions, eligibility criteria, terms and conditions applicable for the screening test has been launched in public interest with this notification.
The link for submission of online applications has been published on the official website of the Board i.e. www.hpbose.org. Only those candidates who satisfy the eligibility conditions as prescribed therein shall be entitled to apply online for the Screening Test for Deputation to CBSE Sub Cadre – 2026, along with the prescribed examination fee, within the specified period.
It is hereby clarified that applications submitted through any mode other than online, incomplete applications, or applications submitted without payment of the prescribed fee shall be summarily rejected without any notice.

Important Instructions
- Submission of an online application does not confer any right of participation, selection or deputation.
- Selection shall remain subject to post-wise merit list, scrutiny of eligibility, verification of documents, availability of posts and approval of the competent/appointing authority.
- Examination fee must be paid only through Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking via the Payment Gateway provided in the online application system.
- No fee shall be accepted through any other mode.
- Applications submitted without successful payment shall be treated as invalid and rejected outright.
- A one-time opportunity will be provided to rectify errors during the notified correction period only.
- No correction request shall be entertained before or after the specified correction dates.
- Responsibility for accuracy of information furnished in the application rests solely with the candidate.
