Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must have passed 10th (Matric) from a recognized school or institution of Himachal Pradesh.
- The condition of passing 10th from HP is not required for Bonafide Himachali candidates.
- Basic understanding of animal husbandry work is required.
- Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh’s local customs, language and traditions is necessary.
- Candidates having practical experience in animal husbandry will be given preference.
Salary
Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 5,000.

Selection Process
The selection will be done in two stages:
- Physical Test: Candidates must carry a 25 kg weight for 100 meters within 1 minute.
- Merit List: A merit panel will be prepared based on Matric marks. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
How to Apply Offline
Candidates must send their filled application to the Senior Veterinary Officer (SVO) of the respective Sub Divisional Veterinary Hospital as mentioned in the notification.
- Download and fill Annexure-A form
- Attach self-attested copies of all required documents
- Submit the form before 31 January 2026 (3 PM)
- The candidate will have to apply for appointment as “Pashu Mitra” on application form as per Annexure-A along with self-attested photocopies of below mentioned documents
