Important Instructions

Enrollment Process
The candidates applying for the post of Himachal Home Guard Volunteers shall be admitted provisionally on the basis of the claims made in their online applications. The Enrollment Process shall consist of the following stages:
Stage I – Physical Standard Test (PST)
The Physical Standard Test (PST) will be scheduled and conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Home Guards and Civil Defence Department.
- Candidates must fulfill the prescribed educational qualification and age criteria.
- The cutoff date for determining age will be 1st January of the year in which the selection/enrolment is being conducted.
- All measurements of height and chest will be taken by a departmental committee constituted for this purpose.
- The measurements will be properly recorded in the candidate’s measurement sheet.
Stage II – Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates who qualify in Stage I (PST) will undergo Stage II, i.e., the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
- The PET will be qualifying in nature only.
- No marks will be awarded for PET in the final merit list.
Stage II – Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
For Male (General Duty):
- High Jump – 135 cm
- Long Jump – 4 meters
- 1500m Run – 5 min 30 sec
- 100m Run – 14 sec
For Female (General Duty):
- High Jump – 110 cm
- Long Jump – 3 meters
- 800m Run – 3 min 50 sec
- 100m Run – 18 sec
FOR TECHNICAL COMPANY/ PLATOON:
For Male :
- High Jump – 125 cm
- Long Jump – 3.5 meters
- 1500m Run – 5 min 40 sec
- 100m Run – 17 sec
For Female :
- High Jump – 90 cm
- Long Jump – 2.5 meters
- 800m Run – 3 min 55 sec
- 100m Run – 20 sec
Stage III – Merit Evaluation
- Education Marks
- NCC Certificate
- NSS / Scouts & Guides
- Sports Certificate
- Driving Experience (for Driver)
- Music Test (for Bandmen)
- ITI Qualification (for Technical)
- Written Test – 50 Marks
