Eligibility Criteria
Examiner of Trade Marks & Geographical Indications
- Educational Qualification: Degree in Law from a recognized university
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in legal practice, court cases, or trade mark and GI-related work
- Desirable Qualification: Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property
Deputy Director (Examination Reforms)
- Educational Qualification: Ph.D in Humanities, Science, Commerce, Engineering/Technology, Law, Management, Finance, or Accounts
- Experience: At least 5 years in teaching, research, examination reforms, curriculum development, or online examination systems
- Desirable: Diploma in Computer Applications and experience in software applications
Age Limit (As on 01 January 2026)
- Examiner (UR/EWS): 30 Years
- Examiner (OBC): 33 Years
- Examiner (SC/ST): 35 Years
- Deputy Director (OBC): 43 Years
- Deputy Director (SC): 45 Years
Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India norms.
Salary Structure
- Examiner: Level-07 Pay Matrix (7th CPC)
- Deputy Director: Level-11 Pay Matrix (7th CPC)

Selection Process
Candidates will be selected through an Interview or a Recruitment Test followed by Interview, as decided by UPSC. Shortlisting may be done based on qualifications, experience, or a screening test.
