Essential Qualifications
(a) Essential Qualifications:
- 10+2 with 50% marks or Senior Secondary with 50% marks from a recognized Board of School Education and 2 years Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) course / Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) from an institute affiliated to HP Board of School Education.
OR
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 2 years Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) / Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
OR
- Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and 2 years Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) / Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) in accordance with the NCTE Regulations, 2002.
OR
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education).
OR
- Graduation and 2 years Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) / Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
OR
- Post-Graduation with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three years integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
AND
Candidate must have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by HP Board of School Education Dharamshala, District Kangra or any other agency authorized by the Government.
Note (i): Relaxation up to 5% in qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC and PWD candidates.
Note (ii): Minimum qualifications prescribed by NCTE at the time of advertisement will also apply.
Important: Candidate must have passed Matriculation and 10+2 from a school situated within Himachal Pradesh. This condition does not apply to Bonafide Himachalis.
Desirable Qualification
- Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the conditions prevailing in the state.
